Welcome to the beginning of a new year with the Oklahoma Reading Association. Since joining the organization 17 years ago while visiting my local council, I have seen that ORA is a professional reading education resource for the teachers of the state of Oklahoma. It provides awards, grants, scholarships, periodicals and professional staff development, just to mention a few of the opportunities available to its membership. The International Reading Association in turn, supports its membership through its guidance and resources.
